My sciatica has not flared up since I started Pilates with Jane. This is amazing also I notice in my other gym classes that my core is stronger and I feel so much more balanced in gym classes if we do stuff on one leg.

Jane is very knowledgeable in her field always smiling full of energy and friendly. Adapts to the changing body, quick to find a variant exercise when there is an ache or pain, sessions are varied and flow well. Since coming to Jane I have had a disappearance of back pain and bonus is improved core strength.
Keeps me strong especially after my back operation
Started in Jane's Friday morning class 8 years ago as a total beginner and slightly terrified of the experience. Now I love it and really miss it when I don't go and so does my body. Jane has a clear teaching method and certainty pushes us. My back and core are stronger and pilates definitely contributed to me beating Plantar Fascitis. Having gone to Jane's mat class for 8 years it was time to try something different. The thought of going to Jane's studio and using the reformer was pretty terrifying but after a couple of 1:1s and Jane's clear and encouraging instructions, I started to really enjoy it. I have done duet sessions and circuit sessions in a group of 4 which is great fun and acts as a good distraction from the muscle aches. I definitely feel stronger and more supple after my studio sessions but need to do more!
I booked into the Intro to Studio Equipment as I was curious to see how the reformers work and how Jane uses them with her clients. I have been to Pilates mat classes before and always enjoyed them. But wanted some personal attention, especially for a couple of areas of my body where movement is not so good. I wanted to see if I could create some new muscle memory and gain some more flexibility. I loved the session, Jane was so helpful in pinpointing where I might work with the equipment and we had fun having a go! This encouraged me to book in for a block of one to one sessions.
Classes with Jane are fantastic. Jane explains all of the exercises clearly and will also suggest adaptations if anyone needs them. An hour with Jane sets me up for the week!
I really enjoy Jane’s classes and have been attending for over seven years. The classes are good fun, during which we do a lot of progressive moves and stretches. Jane gives clear, concise instructions which are easy to follow.
I have been doing Pilates with Jane for over 6 years. Her mat classes and more recently her reformer classes have been a life saver for my physical and mental health. Pilates has restored my back after an operation, it keeps me supple and helps with the arthritis in the joints which I struggle with. I also feel re-energised and less stressed after each session. Jane is permanently revisiting her teaching, re-training herself and adding equipment into her studio which makes her classes really varied and beneficial to all her clients! Everyone of us needs help but for different reasons. In mat classes Jane will always make sure to adapt her exercises at different levels and in her studio she will definitely work with you on a more personal level either on a 1/1 or 1/2 basis. I personally like keeping up with both (mat and reformer) and always notice the difference in myself if I miss a session!! A very satisfied client !
I am nearing the end of my second year with Jane, as one of her private clients, and I still love every minute of our sessions together. The move to her new studio has been a great improvement giving Jane so much more space and the ability for her to purchase even more equipment, which is all of a very high quality, and which you feel very safe and comfortable using. The structure of my weekly sessions are always challenging but very rewarding and never two weeks are the same. I also find each week that I am learning something completely new and certainly with Jane's recent purchases of equipment and teaching, I am stretching myself ever further than I thought was possible. I am looking forward to my third year of Pilates and what it holds.
I thoroughly enjoy both classes and duet reformer sessions. Jane is an excellent Pilates teacher and goes out of her way to meet individual needs.
